I have a 97 Sho and I want to mod the gauge cluster gear selector. I know most 97's Taurus didn't come with floor shift gear selector, and gear selector in the instrument cluster. Maybe most of the 96 Taurus with floor shift also had the gear selector in instrument cluster.
Can the instrument cluster gear selector from a 96 Taurus with floor shift be added to my 97 cluster and how.
Do I need a cluster from a 96 with floor shift and gear selector in dash or can I swap my Sho gauge cluster gauges into the non Sho cluster 96 housing with special gear selector.
Or can I just remove the indicator selector and flat pcb on the back and plug with the wiring and,if I can how do I wire the plug to the floor shift.
The reason I'm asking is I went to the junkyard a while ago and found that 96 cluster . I was wondering could I use the piece I salvaged . Without thinking I disassembled the cluster removed removed the gear selector and wiring and the PCB film on the black of the cluster. I also took the connect on the back and a small portion of wiring to it .
