Hey all I have a third cat deleted I have a new stock flex pipe.

I need a piece that would bolt up to the stock flex tube. Im guessing it would be called an intermediate pipe?
something like a ****** that's flush and a basic 2 1/4" tube coming of the back of it.

I dont really wanna weld to my new stock flex pipe.

I think it will have to be a custom made job, as you are, if I understand correctly, trying to put in a pipe that connects up with replacing the third cat? Totally illegal in many states and provinces, so not a commonly available part.

You have any off road shops nearby? They will usually do custom exhaust work that most other shops might shy away from as it regards emissions

Yes, that would be the way to go. A standard exhaust shop might be reluctant if the state has emission modification rules. Or just a welding shop that is not auto oriented. They should be able to fabricate it for you.

So that pic you posted. that won't work because...wrong ******? I haven't had a GenIII in a long time so I am trying to picture what size/dimensions ****** config and pipe length you need. I remember going to an Autozone and looking through their exhaust parts (Walker at that time) catalog to find what I needed. It's harder to come across that on line vs their plug and play oem fit replacement products.

if that 2 bolt ****** is the same as the our stock flex pipe i'd just saw that part off that aft of that ****** and let the gasket do its job. would be easy to make that work if that ****** is somewhat the same size

There is no way to know if the ****** mates perfectly or not. Maybe if there is one in stock somewhere you can bring a template or measurements to check it. I would guess the chance of it being close are better than average because it is a designated t bird pipe for a 96 and they may share a few components. Maybe..
