Well I'm lost on what happend to my 92's engine. The wife the other day was letting our 18 yearold son practice driving. So they where backing out of the driveway whan the engine just died on them and would not restart. When I got home from work I tried to start the car and it sounded like there was no compression just freewheeling. So I pulled the covers and checked the timing marks and all where ok. Next thing was to pull the valvecovers and check the exhaust cams. Samething there all in time. Did a compression test highest I got was 55. Added some oil and got no change. Checked oil for water and the samething with the coolent all seems ok. I'm out of ideas other than two blown gaskets, two cracked heads, or cracked block on both banks..

Also pulled crank gear to check key and slot all ok there also

Any ideas???

I betcha timing is goofed up. Yes, I know you checked it, but I've had it happen to me after working on countless dozens of these cars where I checked it, it looked ok, yet the thing wouldn't start, had little or no compression, and sounded goofy when cranking. Pulled off all of the timing covers and found it to be a few missing teeth on the timing belt. New belt and voila!

You could be right.. Never really took a good look around the belt for sheared off teeth. Did grab another compression tester and redid the test.. This time 5 cyl'rs where below 55#. But cyl 6 was 150#. Will checkout belt again in the morning. Tks..

Have someone do a leakdown test. That should tell you where the compression is going. One thing I had happen once on a customer's honda was a couple of valves got hung open by some carbon that got jammed between the valves and seats. I removed the spark plugs, poured some 44K into each plug hole and let it sit overnight. Then reinstalled the plugs the next morning and started right up.
