I got a big problem. I drove the car around and she got up to normal operating temp. I parked it for 30 minutes and then I went out again to start her. I turned the key and waited for the smooth prime noise, But instead I got a gargling noise from the back of the car. I turned the jey to start and the noise continued turn over I guess. Revs at a crappy 300-500rpm rough engine and then she died. The battery light oil pressure light and check engine light were lit. I fired her over again with the gargling noise and tried goosing the throttle she eventually cleared out. No lights so I took her for a drive and parked it for 15 min. Went back out to start it and once again the gargling bull. My fuel pump is less than a year old. I'm goin to take it in tommarow so getting input from SHO guru's gives me preperation. Please Help!

Thanks for the help guys. Isnt the Fuel return line check valve that red thing on the backside of the fuel pump?? You have to drop the pump to get to it correct?

That red rubber ducky is one mean SOB. All that work to replace what looks like a 50cent part.

I checked with ford and they don't sell the check valve separetely. Does anyone know where I can get it? I would be willing to pay top dollar for that $.50 part.

slosho that is bs. I just bought one a few months ago. My local dealers gave me the same run around. Run a search here. I know I posted the part number here when I purchased it just for this reason. If you can't find it here go to the dealer, have them pull up the schematic of the fuel pump assembly, magnify it twice and you should see the "duck call" looking check valve on the return fuel line on the assembly. I know this because that's the way I had to find it. Sdpatt or someone posted a picture in a post here to see what it looks like. I would also say since the work is identical, if your fuel pump has some years on it I would replace it at the same time to avoid going through the same hassle twice.
