I got the damn clutch off finally. I did manage to find an ultra easy way to do this. I'll report back on that later. The shims. Where are they and what do they look like? I've got the hub off and I don't see any type of "shim" on it. Or atleast not that I can find.

Think I answered my own question... The shim isn't an actual part of the clutch.

Got the freakin window fix. Still not even sure what it was. Took the motor off.. connected it to the battery directly. Seemed to work fine. Stuck it back in and it worked like a charm WTF.

So far so good... My AC is and has been blowing cold since the shim fix.

Now for my easy "shim fix" technique. This does require a couple specialty tools. Port-a-power w/ spreader ram and a "go through" ratchet.

1. Pull the passenger wheel and front inner well. (philips screw driver and something to remove the plastic plugs)

2. Take your port-a-power and put the spreader ram between the frame rail and motor.. I centered it on the crank the best I could (I can hear some squimishness here so travel at your own risk). Push the motor over about 3/4".

3. Now take your go through socket 14mm and losen the center nut. You will need a flat head screw driver to stick between your socket and one of the rivets to keep the hub from turning.

And there you go. You can see the shim in one of the pics above. Remove that and you should be golden. Put it back together, tighten it down, remove the port-a-power, and put your inner well/tire back on and you're done. Easy as pie.

The window motor was probably a bad connection at the motor. Happened to me twice now.

Mine has done it again... Damn thing won't roll up today and it's 102 out. WTF. Seems to like to do it when I fix something. Replaced the fuel filter this morning. Now window won't go up. Think it's about time to sell.....

You either just have a bad connection or the wire in the door is bad.

Try giving the male connectors a slight twist with a needle nose, this will make for a better friction fit.

Correct. Just remove it. Did it two years ago and haven't looked back since.
