I have talked to Intrax and they are willing to make Gen3/4 Springs. I just need a Gen3 SHO in Costa Mesa for a few days.

Anyone willing to donate? Stock Suspension is prefered.

I have a 50K mile stock 1998 SHO. You are more than welcome to have it for as long as you want (within reason) for testing purposes. Come pick it up but just send it back welded, upgraded, and in one piece.

I personally would love to have my '97 used for this in exchange for whatever suspension performance stuff they come up with...unfortunately my engine is a cam failure one, and I haven't had the money to fix it right now.

We might need some one still. I may have located some springs to get us going.

Do you need the whole car there or just some suspension components? I have oem rear struts and springs off of my '01 that I am willing to ship out there to get these Intrax made. The springs on the '01 set up are broken though.

I have secured some V8 SHO springs. I might need some V6 springs later. They would need to be in working order.

The springs are very similar but there were different spring rates. I know with the Eibachs there was an issue of bottoming out so I just want to make sure that the V8 are accounted for. I want to make sure it is done right.

I haven't had any problems with my Eibachs bottoming out. Would the bottoming out be attributed to the struts being too weak?

I know there have been some issues in extreme cases. I just want to make sure I cover my bases. I want to make sure everyone get the best springs.

Spring rates were identical for 94-95 SHO, 90-95 SLO, and 96-99 SHO among all these models, 155 lb/in. front and 100 lb/inch rear.

What changed, among the different models, and even engine type within a model/year, was the spring's load capacity. A slightly higher rate (inital and final) on these new springs could help compensate for this (hint hint).

I commend you for that. I know many people have had problems with Eibachs, but any reported with the KONI struts and Eibach combo?

I was just wondering if all these problems are caused by weak struts. I figured there would not be enough research in the G3 department there though.

I don't know if you've ever traveled country roads out here in PA, but if mine were going to bottom out they would do so every day. I even lived back a dirt road when I first put that combo on. I'd test out the Intrax, but it wouldn't be with stock struts.

Are you trying to make a stock/Gen4 strut work with these?

Thanks for the information. I have a sheet of the various Gen3 spring rates that I will be providing to Intrax as well.

So they can account for V8 and V6 engines. I know the V8 have used the Eibach springs but there have been some bottoming out issues with a few people. I want to make sure everything is accounted for before going forward.

Intrax will have some test spring in 2-3 weeks and we will have them on a car to see how they fit up.
