Hey all. I clicky'd on the search for this and came up with nothing, zip, nada. I'm wondering if anyone out there has the Lincoln pin out diagrams for the hard button EATC so I can play switch the wires on my SHO. I have the SHO pin out already and just need the Lincoln ones. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving all!!

you cant just switch pins on the wiring connector, you need to solder the ribbon cables from the face of the lincoln unit to the board of the SHO unit. 93 and late SHO boards work best because they fit in the lincoln case. I cant remember if the lincoln unit i used was from a continental or a town car.

I don't have desoldering station to do the ribbon cable conversion, unfortynately. I was thinking of buying a hot air type - just to have one, but its waaaaay too pricey for me right now.

I was under the impression that you can play switch the wires in the connector housings.

The only thing I can offer is the part number on the hard "bubble" button EATC that I have. As for year....... I'm lost on that. Thanks for your replies guys.

That is a great explanation on how to do it by desoldering and resoldering ribbon cables from the faces of EATC's. I found that when I searched before starting this thread. I'll end up with 2 EATC's that don't work if I try that. I suck at soldreing. Thanks Minnesho :thumb:

as far as i know its the only way to do it. the logic boards on the newer ones have different signals then our pre obd II cars so its not just a simple pin swap. however ifyou give me the year and model your lincoln eatc came from i can gladly get you the pinout for it.

I would be interested in seeing the pinout I have a 91 it works perfect but the buttons are all cracked, i know only the 93 + units are compatible though with the other eatc faces, but id be interested as a upgrade.I like the style of the newer lincoln eatc ,the mark viii models I assume 96-98.

I have since sold the Lincoln hard button that I started this thread with. I don't solder well and I don't want to practice on a perfectly good EATC. Contact Minnesho via PM... He will probably help you. Won't you Minnesho? ;)

I just used a climate control from a 96 conti. Only problem was that it was smaller than the factory one, but nothing that a trim ring cant fix!

worth the time... looks and works soooo much better!
