So I just wrapped my 95 SHO around a pole and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a passenger-side rear quarter panel. I probably need more parts too. We'll see what the body shop says...

you mean you hit a pole....

if you wrapped it around a pole, you probably wouldnt be here asking for parts....

and i believe that it is one whole part, and has to be cut and welded in... but im no body expert...

You can get what you need at pick-and-pull or some junk yard like that, the quarter panel should be less then a hudred dollars since sho has a regular taurus rear quarter panel and there are ALOT of those cars there...

yeah the rear is a unibody construction, you cant just get quarterpanels. front fenders come off, but the rear is structural, itll have to be cut and welded.

If the car HAS to have a quarter replaced it will be totaled! Unless you have an approved appraisal of what restoration & mods with reciepts you have done to the car.

U-Wrench-It, here you come!

There are at least 8 of them there in Zeeland, and 7-8 in Kalamazoo. Grab a torch or cutters, and go pick one up, most of them are in good condition. Or let the body shop know, and ask them how you can or if they will help you get one off the car over there.

That sucks about your car, though... If you need a hood or rear spoiler for any reason, I have a spare...

Ouch

My 94 MTX also had a run-in with a telephone pole

If you have the money to spot weld, plasma cut, and repaint... More power to ya. IMHO, it's not worth the time or money. I just waited patiently and bought another SHO :thumb:

I was rear ended in my '95 ATX a few years ago. It took out my bumper, passenger tail light, the plastic between the light and the bumper, and the passenger quarter panel. At that point in my SHO's life that repair didn't total it. The car was gone for 4 weeks, and it took 4.5k to fix - the quater panel alone was $700 (it was a new Ford one). They have to be cut and welded back into place.

yea serious damage on cheap cars really sucks. usually their not even worth repairing, its usually cheaper to buy a nother car, but then you now have a nice parts w/ all working mechanical parts you know the history on. not too bad a thing...
