I have the 3.2 mtx and a ipt stage IV clutch(Sucks - no offense), that is junk right now. I was wondering what the prices were for a gen. 2 clutch. I am in a jam and it's either a new ford ranger headbang , or a new clutch. Can anyone do a cheap clutch. prefrably non IPT.no offense, I want to stay in the SHO business after 4+ yrs????

any info would be grateful

Shop around- shonut.com doesn't offer a complete kit but still has many parts, the other SHO vendors have different options available, and of course, there's always Autozone. I got the kit there (pressure plate, disc, and cheap looking throwout bearing) for $250. I ordered a bunch of other parts to go with it..

I guess it depends on what you are calling a "cheap" clutch. www.shonutperformance.com offers an outstanding fibertuff clutch and HD pressure plate... combine that with a ceramic throwout bearing and maybe some teflon impregnated release arm bushings and you should be set for a while. It's really amazing what this setup does for the SHO.

I've dealt with:

http://www.shonutperformance.com/

http://www.midwestsho.com/
and
http://www.dxdracingclutches.com/

Had excellent service from all of them. I'm putting the south bend rally in my car next week, which is for the most part a stock clutch. Josh's fibertuff clutches look great as well, and Mike's line of clutches are hard to beat. Mikey is a great guy to deal with and I will be doing business with him again soon. Josh is great, and I've had nothing but great service.

If you are looking for some parts for your car then I would suggest shonut.com. They have a bunch of parts that you can look to.

I just saw the link in your signature. Guess what? Your gone!
