OK the whole cradle is out just waiting to set the motor and tranny in place. Its at my friends shop on his only lift. I ordered a new front motor mount from autozone and it cam in today. Guess what? Not the right part. I think they list the one for the reg Taurus. I checked Rock Auto, and they list the same part number for the mount that Autozone has.

So where can I get a front motor mount fast and for the best price? I need to get my car off my friends lift. And its not moving without a front suspesion.

Spefify tranny.

If an ATX, Pioneer makes a replacement.

If an MTX, Ford only (no aftermarket that I know of).

Its a MTX. I called the ford dealer just a little bit ago, and he didnt ask me if it was MTX or ATX. His quote was $162. Im hoping somone online has one cheaper. There are sites that sell Motorcraft parts cheaper than the dealer.

Does anyone know the correct Ford part number for the MTX front mount? That might help in my search.

Actually the crisis was averted. But thanks for all the quick responses guys.

We forgot to look at the one that came with my transplant motor. It is a stock one that has been reinforced and is in very good condition.

Pulled the MTX off to check the clutch and wouldnt you know it, the clutch was gone. So pulled the MTX off the original motor and it was brand new. So lucked out there.

Pulled off the flywheel to check the rear seal, and of course it was seeping. So got that comming from the Ford dealer tomorrow for $21.

So hopfully it wont be on his lift for too much longer.
