Need a little help...

I'm trying to complete my 60k on my car.I've got oil in my plug wells so i need the well seals and the main rubber gasket.My problem is how to remove the intake and install the new gasket and seals.I also have a little actuator prob.There is a little cylindrical actuator that sits behind the intake manifold near the egr and driverside firewall locations.to my knowledge it helps control vaccume into the back of the intake.Ford says it is going bad but it does not hurt the car tremendousely-is that easy to replace?Thanks-Alaric

If you look around the forum you should find instructions on how to remove the intake and replace the valve cover gaskets.

Follow the first handful of instructions (minus removing the hood) and that will show u exactly how to pull the intake... took me 1 hour the first time i did it. Now i can do it in 5 minutes. Its a very easy procedure once u get used to it

As for the gaskets, its as simple as removing the hex bolts on the valve covers (do NOT strip these bolts for the love of god), poping the old seals out and putting the new ones in... Its very easy and you cant go wrong.

i have had my intake off a couple of times. i would be more than willing to help you ( as long as you supply the beer !) it is not very hard to work on the sho once you do it once it is easy after that !
