need a little help diagnosing

hey guys,

hmm..well i live in mass as some of you know and sure is cold here like this week has been like 35-43 *F and today all in a sudden the outside temperature display for the EATC in my 93 SHO reads 115*F-120*F.. :nut: :shrug: .. i was like what te **** :oogle: and very surprised with it.. i ran teh test for the eatc maybe thought was gonna reset it by pressing floor -off-automatic but the EATC passed the test by showing three 888 and the wrong outside tempreature control still reads wrongg way over what is supose to.. i was wondering if its the outside temperature sensor where is that located and where can i buy one to replace the faulty sensor.. thanks all

Mine did that but it read super cold. I think mine was flooded. I'd been though some high water. Sounds like your circuit is open. Could be a loose or broken wire.

The sensor is beind the grill in front of the condenser/radiator assy. Looks like a plastic bullet with a wire connector on back. I'd imagine that part is not SHO-unique and would be easilly acquired if its faulty.
