At first I thought this may be a NSFW thread!

That's a vent hose to the charcoal canister inside the fender well. It vents the gasoline fumes out of the intake system through to the charcoal canister.

Are you getting a fuel smell? I would replace it...with PCV/EGR hose. Autoparts stores usually sell hoses just for that purpose.

-yep. that is the one. runs up the core support, out behind the headlamp, and over to the charcol cannister behind the fender.....

I could be on crack like the rest of the responders to this thread, but doesn't the gas tank vent to the charcoal cannister, which is then purged of its fumes when the cannister purge valve is opened every once in a while by the PCM? The intake then ingests the fumeous air?
