So I was driving back from st louis for the weekend in the torrential downpour that was interstate 55. I arrived at my destination just as the rains were lightening up so I turn my wipers from SuperFast to off and they go all the way down then all the way up and stay in the up position. They still work normally and when set to intermittent they go down and wait to wipe, but any time I set them to "Off" they default up. What did I do and how do I fix it?

Thanks all in advance.

I had this problem on one of my Freightliner trucks. Turned out to be a bad wiper motor.

Not sure if that relates to a Taurus though but its my 2 cents...

What's your problem? They're more aerodynamic that way. Now it's related to supercars!

Yup , X3 the wiper parking switch is inside the motor casing.

EDIT: Be careful on where you take it from , because I know for a fact that the connector (on the motor) from a 92 and a 94 are differant and does not interchange.

They are different but the wires are the same color so if you cut the connectors off with a used one they are easy to splice together
