Hi there !

NOok here, hey I had an idea for convention activities I thought would be neat.

How about some little contests like, who can change a tire fastest with the stock scissor jack and lug wrench, whose AWA can change a tire the fastest, or maybe rotate the tires, etc.. etc.. with the sho. I would be glad to offer up some prizes. Im sure other people could think of some other contest-y stuff too, Just thought it would be fun. It could be done in a big parking lot or something, nothing major, just some good fun. Maybe even who can change spark plugs fastest with hand tools, stuff like that.

Dare I suggest : Loudest AWA contest ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

hey those are great ideas! I think we need more events/contests to get the interaction going. I think this would get people smiling and talking. Good Idea :) What else could we do ?

I like those Ideas, but I am guessing there would be some liability issues.

Can we leave the loudest AWA out of it. My ears are sensitive as it is. :)

I thought of that, but then I also thought that having someone accidentally breaking something in their haste, might leave a car down and someone stranded far from home.

Ummm....This may be a dumb Idea, but what about trivia? I mean like knowledge of the SHO, this would also help some of us who don't know that much learn more. Like Categories: Maintenance, History, etc...What do you think  ?

trivia can be great fun. Back when I had a [functional] sea-doo and posted over at the sea-doo.net forums I can remember we had trivia every now and then. The administration offered a wide selection of prizes that would normally sell from $10-15, such as decals, sea-doo.net stickers (yes, I am a proud trivia champion), etc. I think it would be a lot of fun to have something like this on the SHOforum!

Good ideas, but....

The Convention already has enough formal activities for people. FWIW, this will be my 10th SHO Convention, and every one of them is a blur of activities that keeps you busy 100% of the time when you are there! Sleep is the expendable commodity.....of which most of us get very little over those days!

Some of the biggest unannounced events are all of the BS sessions that go on in the parking lot and the hotel bar. The entire event is really more about socializing around the events that are already scheduled. During the "down time" between events, people are always busy in personal gatherings.

Just as a side, I would still like to see SHO trivia here on the forum. I know it would be a lot of fun!

Oh so right Ron! I have only been to one convention as of yet, but what a blast! There is so much going on all of the time it truly can be a big blur, but then again that could have been the wine I was drinking too.

You almost have to pick and choose what you want to do on certain days as there doesn't seem to be enough time to do it all. It is a situation one shouldn't let go by!

I can't wait for this year's convention as it seems to be another blast, or, is that blur.

Yep, basically, I'm praying I can get myself to drive all the way out to Cali, as I had an absolute BLAST last year! :****:
