My sho's new owner at it again.....

Personally i wouldn't buy the sho because of the fiberglass. Im sure its just rusting underneath all that work anyways. Mythbusters may have proven that you can in fact polish a turd, but it is still just a turd in the end.

i did the fiberglass work. all the rust has been cut out. but that's not to say it isn't rusting underneath in other places.

No mention of any sort of mileage.. the ad dosen't state anything about the body work... You also said you know its got Tokiko's, yet his ad states Koni's... are you sure you really know this guy / car? With all the suspension stuff, plus a leaky rack.. (my rack has 212k on it.. no leaks..) its obvious that car has quite a few miles on it..

And FWIW... I remember a near mint SC'ed SHO.. with twice the motor mods, and that one might have gotten 7. But he's a KNOWN guy around here. But with a mystery motor, and who knows what else... 3 grand is tops, just because its blue.. SHO's don't sell well... its just the way it goes...

Maybe if it had solid gold body panels and ZERO rust it'd be worth 7k, but leaky rack or not, this is no where near worth that kind of cheddar!

So if I paint an old set of Tokiko's yellow and put Koni inserts in them... would I be allowed to call them Koni's then? Or would they still be Tokiko's?

The tokiko part is only a housing, same as any other.. the MOST of those "some guys" use blown out motorcrafts, or monroe's, usually the 2 rears go first, so most would have 2 good used ones they could sell... No sence in throwing money in the trash... but hey if you got a few bucks to throw in the trash, you got a few bucks for an ad!

This is a private person's forum... those $5 and $10 bucks keep this place alive. To me its kinda just like driving.. its not a right, its a privledge. $7,000 $6,990... whats the damn difference? Now how stupid is that?

But he does need to come down to earth a little bit... look around at the old for sale ad's, and you'll see what everyone is talking about... they just don't sell for that much. It's either gotta be seriously modded, and stupid fast, or a gem of an 89, or 91+ maybe to get that kinda cash.

Well since your reputation is so outstanding "TRicker can only hope to improve" here and your such a valuable member and contribute so much to the community we will sincerely miss you. You have been here long enough to know that any for sale ad needs to be paid for and put in the proper section. I'm glad to have such a dead platform that they came out with a 2010 Taurus SHO and not a Contour SVT! Also as a Mod I honestly would not tell any actual SHO owner to leave the site just you so you might be able to sleep better tonight knowing that. I will be glad to drive my SHO that is twice the car your SVT Contour will ever be. Also if anyone from Minnesota wants a nice SHO we can surf the Craig's List Ad's for ourselves like big boy's do.
