hate to be a stickler for details but i dont think she was an SHO, had the bar style grille with 13-up tail lights and argent wheels, and during the chase it seemed to cap out around 108-110. it was definitely moving in the beginning though so I could be wrong, I just like to think an SHO would be more of a challenge for a charger lol

And I agree with that, very entertaining, I watched the whole thing along with everyone else in my office, then the boss came in and asked what we were watching and I told him it was dash cam footage of me running from the cops lol.

The base 3.5 had 288 horsepower and wasn't THAT much slower than the SHO.

Seems a tad reckless to me to PIT maneuver a car at 108 mph. Is that standard practice?
Only ISP (ILL-Annoy State Police) perform PITT maneuvers here.

No County, or Local Municipalities do.

I would have to reach out to my State contacts for clarification, as I know there are a lot of variables factored into the proverbial mix.....

But even I myself would think at the speeds observed in said video.... that would fall outside of the scope of authority for here.

But ILL-Annoy is an overly liberal, craptastic State.

PREACH! I got out of that S$&t hole state in the early 90's. Saw the demise back then.

My family got out in ‘93. I honestly couldn’t imagine still being there, and now actively avoid it. It’s a shame, Chicago use to be a really fun city.

I figured the non sho cars weren't dogs, just the speed limiter and flat acceleration had me thinking it wasn't. Plus the visual cues, I almost settled for a 2015 limited before I found my sho but then I saw the big wood panels on the dash and decided against it and decided to spend the money, I only live once.

I couldn’t help but think how insane it really is to chase down a citizen for traffic violations even if during the pursuit the violations become criminal bc it’s pretty clear in my mind the behavior is heavily influenced by the pursuit vehicle. And God forbid an innocent person gets caught in between just like how the pursuit vehicle narrowly missed colliding with a vehicle pulling onto the road unaware of what was happening. And doing that manuaver at around 100mph was a total disregard for all occupants of that vehicle. Sending the fleeing vehicle out of control at that deadly of a speed ….bc…..what transpired over a traffic violation?

Run it back, take “Law Enforcement” out of it. So you got a guy with a dash cam looking for another person, sees them and waits….they go by and he chases. The other guy stops to see what’s going on….then decides to run…so the guy chasing now goes on the attack and causes the other guy to crash…..and goes back to the wreckage and pulls out his gun. Who’s the dangerous one again?

Yeah what was the overall point of these chases once they have the plate? Yeah the car could be stolen I guess. Why run. It's all insane.

Unless a person of high interest in relation to another crime I see no logical reason to go that far. It should take more than a badge to figure out who’s the good guy and who’s the bad guy.

I have a little background in the field in question along with a few friends that are deputies, based on their knowledge and what i learned myself that not all states are the same, most places will break pursuit once traffic is at a certain point or speeds have exceeded what ever policy that agency has. based on what i know for Florida, the speed wasn't too much for pursuit, traffic was questionable, but the pit was definitely too fast. not defending or condemning that officer, but i do agree the pit was done at too high of a speed and if they are that determined to catch them they should've called in the helo and tracked them from the sky. if the car had hopped the median and hit oncoming traffic there would've been definite loss of life.

but that begs the other question of why run in the first place? the officer was pulling them for I'm assuming speeding or some other form of recklessness, so by trying to stop dangerous behavior they amplified it, whos at fault? the one trying to stop the danger or the one refusing to stop? Ive run twice in my life, both times my age started with a 1, now my mind set is if they got me they got me, they won today, its not worth the potential repercussions of either jail time or worse killing someone or yourself. the line between good and bad begins with integrity and theres not a lot of that left in the world.

Another SHO bites the dust...
back to the original topic, decided to check what the market was like for gem green metallic SHOs and found only 1 on ebay...in a salvage yard! someone tell me how 1 of 407 ends up HERE? with maybe $2000 worth of damage, forget my own cars value going up, this is just sad.
