I rebuilt a 90 SHO 4 years ago ... all new ac lines, condensor, accumlator and the only thing used was a compressor and clutch

About a 1 year ago my wife asked me to give this car to my nephew and he has had the car since.

His a/c stopped working and a tech he trusts said that the clutch or compressor froze up and he needs a new compressor and clutch, a new accumlator and a new liquid line. Also there was a flat spot on the a/c serpintine belt and that needs to be replaced

Why would he need a new liquid line and which one is it ? what is it ?? Wild guess on my part is the line with the crazy 90 bend coming out of the firewall near the exhaust manifold and wraps around the passenger fender wall to the front ???

If the clutch froze up do auto parts stores sell a compressor that the ac lines will bolt to and fit in a 90 SHO?

Ive been away from the SHO for sometime so my memory is rusty

Im thinking get a new compressor and clutch. A new accumlator( or do i even need todo that ... maybe do the compressor and clutch and see what happens ? .... also if the lines are still sealed why do i need a accumlator?)

So i replace these parts .... flush the system and vacumn out the system and recharge i should be good to go... right ?

Any suggestions or advice regarding .... compressor clutch combo being new or used .... getting a new accumlator or not and a fricken liquid line ?

thanks !

Hey Don, I hope its not something like the compressor clutch gap opening up which is an easy fix. Did the mechanic take the belt off and verify that the compressor was jammed? Was this an R134a conversion
