muffler opinions

I just bought a red 92 for 950.00. Im gonna do a front 60, and it needs new mufflers also. I figure Im just gonna go ahead and put a shosource y-pipe on it and keep the stock catback. Whats a good choice for mufflers w/a stock catback?

I used Magnaflows. I thought the exhaust sounded the best with stock cat back with Magnaflows. I think I will try Corsa mufflers next time. I love them on my STS-V. Quiet with no drone while crusing, but when you get on the gas it roars.

Are flowmasters superior performance wise to magnaflow?

oh great another muffler thread! actually i was wondering the same thing but after the slag some threads got never asked but i actually want to try and build my mufflers and resonator i can get all the stainless from work and i have all the tools i need there.

Corsa make exhaust systems and are popular with Corvettes and other high performance V8's. They are not cheap.

IMHO most of the quality performance mufflers deliver like performance since the stock exhaust in the SHO is fairly free flowing. They are different in sound quality.
