Hello All! I was going to search for an answer to this question, but considering the loss of the this section of the forum, I'll post a question here. I have a Dynomax cat-back on my 95 SHO MTX less the resonator currently. I replaced the driver side muffler last year and I'm going to have to replace the passenger side this year. I would like to find a stainless steel muffler that will last longer than a couple years. Additionally, I would like to find a muffler that eliminates the buzziness that I currently get between 3000 and 5000 rpm. Has anyone tried Flowmasters on our cars? How well did they work? If I could still find the Borla system, I might consider that but I doubt that there are any remaining systems out there. I don't really want to get anything louder than what I have but I still like the fact that the car has some bark to it. I would like any suggestions that you all can give me as to what you have used with success.

Thanks!

I just picked up 2 aero exhaust 196's.. they seem to be pretty good, I haven't had them installed yet, but they boast that one of them dropped in as a resonator would drop the noise level by about 15db, but there is room to do that, so I am chopping off my aero turbine 2540i's and using 2 the 196's instead.. and from what Ive heard from other cars, it will give me a nice smooth deep tone...

Mufflers wont get rid of the rasp. Getting a nice, long resonator before the y-pipe at the rear of the vehicle will definitely help. Flowmasters will sound disgusting.

+2. Flowmaster's sound great on a V8, but not the greatest on a SHO. Get yourself the longest resonator you can fit and find a pair of the stainless Magnaflows (not the fart can kind). I have been running them for two years, and I love 'em.

have you tried searching any of this? I'm sure there are plenty of posts to read regarding mufflers?? Although, that recent crash might've screwed things up.
