muffler help please

i had my converters off this morning on a 94 sho .. the mufflers were 2 glasspacs stock piping and a stock resonator .. the rasp was very annoying ... plus my torqe was gone pulled hard upp top .. ... shop told me to swap out mufflers so i put on some dynomax super turbos and holy **** even wors rasp ... i know alot of you all have catted shos ... what can i do to help the rasp and torqe ... does my computer need a reset for the sluggishness .to go away ... and if i add a glass pack after my resonator will it hep take away the noise ... i dont mind the tone but rasp ...ewwwww... please help im pulling out all my hair tryn to fix this thing any help i woud greatly appreciate ... i had checked the archives but seems all is no longer avalible for me to read

get rid of the ****** stock y pipe,or put your converters back in.

I have a catless Y pipe, my stock resonator and 2 dynomax mufflers and I don't have any rasp except for around 3800RPM's. I wonder why yours is as loud as you say it is. I have no problem with this whatsoever.

not sure ... at 3800 all the way up it rattles like a honda on crack

Resonators + muffs kills rasp , not cats. On mine I got a 3 inch cat on it , and with or without , makes no diff on the rasp.

Cats might lower rasp a tiny bit , but youll never **** it with cats.

well before i had the felines removed i had no rast just a nice deep mellow grumble... now rasp heavan ...soo basicly i need to replace my resonator with a long cherry bomb or add a cherry bomb to the stock resonator ?

is there a probolem with the stock resonator ... i mean that thing is long where would i place another one on there ..i appologise fore sounding stupid .. im kinda a noob when it comes to exhaust

You can't **** rasp with cats, but you sure can **** a cat with a rasp!

was alo wondering has anyone used universal cats on ther shos ... i had a large resonator installed ... and 2 walker mufflers ..the rasp is almost gone but .. im still lacking get up and go ... no low end and some mid end torqe witch was ther when i had cats ... ahhh this sho is driving me mad i say ... any insite to what else should do i have an atx so a high flow y is out of the question cause i cant find em anywhere

also i was wondering ... what is the stock exhaust pipe diamiter ...seems the shop used 2 inch would this cause any probolems ...sorry to be a pain
