My 1990 has an issue with the drivers side muffler inlet broken, the metal either corroded or metal fatigued right where the pipe and muffler go together on the inlet side. I was told by the prior owner that the car has a shoshop exhaust, but don't know much about it. I was told it had been taken off another car and put in this one by the prior owner. mufflers have no markings or brand, not sure what size the openings are. it's not the nicest looking, it looks like it had been taken apart and put back together.

Can anyone suggest a good replacement? Figure I will need to do both sides or it might sound strange. Also considering the shosource exhaust kit instead, but wanted opinions on this. My car is mostly stock, but it does have a highflow y-pipe, although it doesn't look like the magnaflow. my 95 has the dynoax which is ok, but don't think it's available anymore.

love some suggestions or feedback!

The SHO Source catback is your only option out of going custom as there are no other options now. The SHO Source kits is full 304 stainless so it will last the life of the car especially in CA. You can even bolt it up in your driveway. With the selection of mufflers you can make it sound the way you like.

Same here I absolutely love my cat less Y pipe!

I also have the Sho Source cat back system and it is worth every penny!

I bought my 90 SHO with a single exhaust set up and changed the system when it failed. I used 2 1/4" rear pipe and crossover from Walker. Could not buy the front pipe (with resonator) in large size (arrived as 2") so I had it made - from cat back to rear pipe in 2 1/2" and installed a same size inline muffler instead of the resonator. I installed stainless flowmaster 40 mufflers as they matched the original muffler size perfectly. I had tips installed out to bumper plane that turn down slightly. The system sounds great with no rasp or embarrasing noises. If I did it again I would not buy any prebent piping as the shop installed the system and made the front pipe for less money than the front pipe costs from the manufacturer.
