My clutch has gone out so its time to start rounding up parts for that. The trans is in need of a rebuild or something drastic. My question is... Did the mtx trans get beefed up at all in the later years and if so would they bolt into a 1990 no problem?

I don't believe the MTX changed at all through out its life. So any tranny from 89-95 MTX would work. Now on the rebuild/refresh Sho Nut sells a rebuild kit ranging from 127.03 to 479.63 Check out their site for more info. www.shonutperformance.com
