MTX tranny fluid ?

What do you use, and how much.

I understand its 5 quarts and work up.

Any suggestions.

3 quarts, only if you drain it all (install a drain plug at the very bottom boss of the tranny casting). ATF, if it's a tranny that has some miles on the rings synthetic ATF works well. Autozone has Mobil 1 for $4.99 qt. Otherwise just good 'ole std dexron/mercon. Stay away from the MTL and gear **** junk.

I found a new mix of fluid that seems to work well with brand new rings...(usually a bit notchy with synthetic ATF).

If you got a stock diff synth is a good idea, the pinion shafts need all the help they can get...

Get the Redline D4 fluid. I called them up and they reccommend this for the MTX application. I've had extremely good results with Redline fluid in the past... wont' use anything else anymore.
