I just went to top off the fluid in my Tranny this weekend. The manual calls for automatic tranny fluid...Is that correct?

Redline D4 is the stuff I have in there now, and I really love it.

But yes, any automatic transmission fluid that meets the specs listed in the manual should be fine.

Err...The manual only specs ford fluid. I have some bottles of valvoline auto tranny fluid at home. How do I tell which fluid my tranny takes? Its a '93. It didnt seem to specify anything other than the Ford Fluid P/N

This is what Ford states:

Specifications - Fluid Type Specifications
Manual Transmission MERCON ATF

Any Mercon ATF will do. I would recommend that you drain the oil and add Redline D4 ATF(Synthetic)
