There will be some changes in the works to make it possible to sell them to install, right now there are 2 problem areas that need some attention and (knowhow)? not sure it thats the right wording but its not something I cant sell off the shelf yet.

With Carlislie and the National Convention things are at a stand still, as far as moving forward with these. Normally June and July are slow months and can make for good time to figure out stuff.

OT/ how would this go over? RWD V8 SHO in a gen 4 body style, TT, and my favorite, a real red! Like the 94-95 red..

More then likely a pipe dream for now but its been stiring for a while. We will see, with the EcoSHO soon to be delivered I may end up with a lot of time modfying that new car.

It brings a smirk to my face imagining a Taurus sliding sideways through an intersection with smoke rolling off the rear tires and the roar of the 3.4.

edit: Has anyone on this forum gotten their PhD in 'Mad Science' yet? Some honorary degrees may be in order perhaps?

Ok guys. I have looked over this thread here and there. I am somewhat confused.
Am I correct?
The Gen ll MTX's Use the Essex bolt pattern which includes the 3.8, Vulcan and the V6 SHO.
The Gen lll SHO uses the Duratec Bolt pattern which is only for the Duratec and 3.4V8

So Am I correct on this? So in order to bolt the Gen ll MTX to the Gen lll SHO then you would need an adapter correct?

Ford mounted Vulcan's up to the AX4S did they not? In preparation for these first few manuals that were done, was the MTX-75 ever looked at?

Also, to add to what this thread is really about:

Kirk and everyone who helped has done a wonderful job on this conversion using mostly off the shelf parts. I had to change clutches (I volunteered to be the experimental clutch guy) and It's no more difficult than a V6 car to change. There are SEVERAL Modifications that cannot be done by the normal guy in his garage. Kudo's to Everyone who was involved in making this a reality. Now that the clutch is changed (once for now, more to come) This car is really nice to drive!

On another note with this, is there any before and after dyno data on how much HP/TQ is getting put to the wheels? I would be interested to see if there is any HP difference, and if so how much +/-.

Did you do it yourself or were you alble to take it somewhere to get it done? Or has the kit itself been developed?

Kirk did his, I believe. Or I could be wrong. But it wasn't a kit in any case.

I don't think the kit is going to be available any time soon. And for the price, you're better off having NESHO do the work. Better yet, have Kirk sell you a car already done.

I can't see it being a kit for the average shade-tree bolt on mechanic or a hack like me. There's definitely going to be some fabrication involved. Just getting a clutch pedal in there has to be a chore.

If you buy from Kirk, you'll get a cam welded motor so that's one thing less to worry about. And with the MTX you don't have to worry about the ATX blowing up like the time bomb that they are. That leaves just coils and diff pins to worry about. Kirk works on these things day in and day out. He buys cam failed cars and resurrects them. If I came into some money I'd be buying one tomorrow.

Just look at the testing that was involved with this setup.

It was tested multiple times and each time was upgraded each time to be even stronger!

If it was not for Raphael I would have NEVER sold my 5-Speed. It turned a nice cruising slushbox SHO and turned it into something it should have been back in 1996...

An Exciting, FUN and Sporty SHO with V8 Power and sound!

Pretty much anyone who wants to buy a "kit" is welcome to, but don't expect your hand to be held putting it all together.

I'm as much of a cheapskate as anyone, and I'm pretty handy, but when I wanted an LCD TV I just went to the store and bought one, I didn't try to buy all the parts and put it together myself.
