I will be out in my shop later this afternoon. I will watch that part of the video from SHO NUT, and try to get back to you. I assume you are talking about the "cap and spring" that go into the tranny case, followed by a bolt. Is this correct? I'm doing my best to help ya. :thumb:

Sorry that I haven't seen this, or I would have already answered.

With the outter case removed, it's by the shift interlock bolt, 13mm head. IIRC, it's right above that, it's where the itty bitty short bolt goes in with the 8mm head on it.

You have to remove the case if you already installed it. That spring goes in the hole first, followed by the cap like piece. When installing, you have to use a lttle punch, or similar object, to push it back while the shift shaft slides past it. Most of the time, if you never disassebled the SHO transmission, you remove that bolt and when you pull the case off, the spring pops out with the cover deal. The bolt is only suppose to be loosened and then removed when the halves are seperated.

I believe it's called the plunger.

If you still don't know where this goes afterwards, let me know and I will see if I still have that half of the case sitting around to take a picture of and point it out.

Yes, because it goes behind the shift shaft. You don't have to pull the case completely off, just enough to where you can see to the other side, shaft out of the way. And when you slide the case back on, use something to push the cap inwards, so the shaft can slide past it.

Ron, if you have a pic of what you're talking about send it to me via email. I also have a complete case assembly write-up somewhere on my computer. I'll see if I can find it for you.
