Will the cluster from an MTX work in an ATX, I'm sure it will work but I was concerned about the OD light.

I have an MTX parts car and I think my ATX speed odemeter stopped working. Well it did stop working but I was going to swap them just to eliminate the speed odemeter as a problem. I just wanted to make sure all the lights were the same.

$20 says its the cable... ;)

When I bought the car last year the speedo didn't work and I found that the upper part of the cable was disconnected. I fixed it and the car sat for a bit and was driven here and there and then my girlfriend drove it to Fl and back and the day after she came back it stopped working which was earlier this week. I'm going to check the cables tomorrow.

Yea I had the little peice of plastic break on mine for a while, to the point where that little clip wouldn't hold it together... had it together with a zip tie there for a while. :) If it's the lower one, you wont have to pull the cluster. :)

Good luck!
