I’m sharing this video just in case it helps someone to troubleshoot a misfire condition. I’m hoping this was just an isolated incident in regards to the quality of the MSD coil.

CLICK HERE!CLICKTHERE! ILL SAY ANYTHING FOR FORD OWNERS TO CLICK CLICK CLICK!

I've used msd products for over 20 years, never had any issues ever. I'd recommend MSD to anyone. Let's hear some people with negative feedback on msd. I want some actual evidence not the clickbait king.

There have been a couple of cases with the MSD COPS on the EB. However, they are proven to make more power, smooth idle, and out perform the stockers in the high rpm band.

That being said, I still keep my stock COPS in my trunk just in case.

Just curious, what software program was being used in that video and is that something available to a home user? Regardless of the findings in the video, I'd love to have that software capability...

not sure what scan tool he is using, but ForScan can do this as well.

I can't speak to COP quality but MSD is definitely losing fans in other Ford circles.
I have had in the last 3 years:
(2) Distributors bad right out of the box. Both had misses that went away after going back to stock dist.
(1) Defective 6AL that needed to be replaced after about 2,000 miles.
(1) Defective TFI coil that was about 6 months old

Like I said, I don't know about their COPs, but premature failure of products made in the last 3-4 years is becoming way too common.

Definitely Ford IDS with the VCM2 interface module. For the casual user, the yearly subscription price is pretty steep and unavoidable. Why Ford is transitioning from IDS to FDRS is beyond me.
Can forscan monitor the same power balance feature as we see in this video? Seems like a pretty useful tool. I've got forscan but haven't dove deep into to, in all honesty.

That is unfortunate to hear.

Hopefully someone else can chime in on Forscan, I only have Forscan Lite. I use IDS and FDRS at work. IDS is very user friendly and complete, FDRS in my experience so far, not so much.

On topic, I've got a year on my MSD coils that we're lightly used when I purchased from the market place, and so far I have nothing but positive things to say but they haven't been subjected to the high boost pressure strains that others are putting on the ignition system.
