Concerning the gen 1's are all the motor mounts the same? Is the top and the rear switchable or are they different? Does the rear have more or less stress on it from the engine?

from 89-95 the MTX SHO has the same motor mounts. The front and rear are unique and can not be swuitched. The front takes the most stress as it is in stress most of the time and the rear is in compression.

We offer reinforced versions: Here

the fronts last alot less longer, i dont know if its because of design or if it is because that one natually has more stress, there isnt a top mount, unless you mean the engine dampers

Power shifting is ******* the front mount. Hard downshifting is ******* the rear mount.
For drag race style cars...a reinforced front mount is all thats needed.
For road racing...the reinforced rear mount will allow more precise/faster/more reliable downshifting and engine braking.

The rear mount can get ripped pretty easily if you accidentally downshift to second instead of fourth.
