Hi Guys,
Sorry this is an emergency to me... I have the old broken motor mount loose, dampner loose bolts all loose, but when I try to raise the engine up enough to get room to remove the mount, I can't get it out. It doesn't have anything attached too it, but I can't get it out the front because of the AC lines running there, I need to roll it backwards off the subframe and am afraid if I lift too far I will screw something up.
I have an engine hoist holding the engine up using the loop on the front of the engine next to the dipstick, hope that is ok.. I have a jack under the oil pan to make sure it doesn't drop or anything (with a wide board)..
The shotimes instructions say to take the mount out the front, and I don't get how, maybe the clearance is different because of the 2.5" exhaust I had made and the AC lines...
Ideas? Should I just keep lifting and hope i can get it out w/o breaking anything?
thanks
Mark

I got it thanks!! I didn't realize you had to take all 3 screws on the dampner out to get it out.. Then put the dampner back on with the new mount.. DOH!
You can read and read, but if you don't READ, you miss little things like that... sigh.
All changed, tomorrow I'll go get a new lower radiator hose and fill-er-up and she'll be back on the road.. Of course, I have looked at the mount and decided that the loose screw I found when I took it off was what was making it rise, not a defective mount... sigh... So I have a good OEM mount as a backup.. And the reinforced shonut one installed which should be better with my quaife

Contact the member Ferendon, he may want that mount.

I'm glad that it worked out, and I hope the SHOPP guide was helpful for you. :thumb:
