motor jumps when u let the clutch out need help asap

i just bought this car it is a 89 sho 5spd its runs awsome but i recently found out that that when i had the hood opened and let the clutch out the motor jumps . the front of the motor comes up and the back gets close to hiting the firewall i thought it was the motor mounts but my friend looked at it and i looked at and the mounts look good but also know that there are two stabalizers on each side or the motor could that be the problem . someone please help need info fast , by the was the car has a 150xxx on it

the motor mounts will look ok when the engine is just sitting there. the rubber seperates from the steel housing and that means nothing is holding the motor down in front as torque is applied. it's a common problem.
also check to see if the big bracket is cracked below the AC compressor.

The way you're describing, either the motor mounts are SHOT or that A/C bracket's broke. Easy to tell which. Grab the engine with your hands and give it a good, hard shaking. If the engine bounces around with just your hands, you got a broken accessory mounting bracket (the motor mount attaches to the engine via that bracket). If it just kinda wiggles a tad, then your motor mount's gone. If I were you, I'd just pull the front motor mount and inspect it and the bracket. It don't take long and it's easy to do. Then, while you got it out, run 4 bolts with rear sway bar end link bushings through the mount and reinforce that bad boy.
