More junkyard inventory...

Just got back from the Chandler Pick-n-Pull. The two green SHOs from a while back are still there, but there's also now a silver 94 MTX with no body damage. The intake, tranny and shifter are missing (and, now, the ABS pump and motor ). Flywheel's still there, plus most everything else.

The car looked to be in pretty good shape, 112k miles, finish was still good. Interior not terrible (although the j/y has not been kind to it). Appeared to be an AZ car.

IIRC, one of the ATXs there still had the motor. It's weird how those cars were picked through, though.

just waiting, wishing hoping someone would buy some stuff i've been waiting to offload so i could score some more SHO crap. i cant get it out of my damn system.

i need to figure out a way to get a painter/body guy under my thumb so i can wrangle an at least sub 1000 dollar respray and body massage for old (amazing) grace the SHO. too much love invested in the old girl to let her go. she's been exceptionally good to me (along with Tom, you and Nick) to make it thru this year with what little did actually break compared to how much and how hard it got driven.

and i saw that silver SHO, and the green ones. we'll see if the motor is still there when i get the money.

Tom, if you do swing by, i'll have your motor stand for you hopefully the weekend after the 4th of july, unless you need it sooner. i'll bring it up.

Na. someone beat me to that MTX. I found one at the pull-n-save just south of ecology. Went and yanked it out, tossed it in the trunk and picked it up the next day; half off day got me a 30 day warranty, lol. Just waiting on a little touch-up to my shaft mod before I throw it in.

HAHA! to **** with that junkyard 3.2 i just found one with an extrude honed intake in an '89 with tokicos, rod shifter, 83mm maf, bigger tb, superchips chip, and a borla exhaust with bigger injectors and a 155lph fuel pump, also has UDPs and a fresh top and front 60k... kid only wants a G note.

damn near traded him my plus for it right then and there, if i buy this, it'll be the second 89 SHO i've parted out and sent to the scrap yard this year...
the car could also have an LSD installed. i didn't get a chance to jack it up and spin tires on it. is there any way to tell externally for the presence of a Quaife? was there another LSD offered for the MTX? cause if this car has one, i'm snatching it up ASAP. just the engine and exhaust alone with all the crap done to it is worth 1k. keep your eyes out for an 89 ad in the parts classifieds...:woo-hoo:
