:bonk: I've a 1992 SHO with a moonroof that is closed. The control switch for the moonroof has been pushed in too far resulting in the component being popped loose from its mounting. Question is how does the moonroof control panel/dome lights unit come off of the roof? My Chilton's Taurus for Idiots manual provides no clues in replacing this switch.

use a flat screw driver, and pop the middle part of both lens that cover up the lights out of the housing. If you look up in there, you will see 2 philips head screws, one behind each light bulb on each side. Take those screws out, and then with some ease, slide the whole housing towards the back of the car and it will pop off. There are 2 metal pieces that hold the back of it up, which is why you need to slide it back, and not just pull it right down.

Hope it helps...
