Anyone know if Monroe struts for the SHO are any good. I am looking at buying a pair and was told the same type of struts were used at the Bondurant School for High Performance Driving on a SHO (the pair I'm buying is new). So it seems like they come with good recommendations. Just wondering what anyone knows about these, what the ride will be like, etc? Looking to buy these soon, if anyone can hurry with an answer. Thanks.

Mike,

Howdy from St. Louis (Florissant)!

I put Sensa-Tracs and Cargo-Coils on the rear of my 89. I'm happy with them, but then I wouldn't know what the premium-struts and springs would feel like..

Michael,
the Monroe Sensa-Tracs you buy from O'Reillys are not the same ones seen on Ebay. the struts on Ebay have special valving, engineered by Roush Racing. moreso, they are used only in the SHOs used in the Bondurant school (which the SHO program got canned, so theyre selling the parts on Ebay). that is why they are so much more expensive. from what ive heard the Monroe Sensa-Tracs you buy at your local parts store is sufficient enough for daily driver SHOs. i am in need of new struts also and will be buying the Monroe Sensa-Tracs.

Is that the end of the modded Monroe's, or are there still some available? I may be interested in some new struts. $350 sounds like an awesome price compared to Koni's or Toxico's.
