Ok guys, this mobsteel grill seems to be some what of pipe dream to me. After reading many threads of it's progress it would seem there hasn't been any. Any way I am think taking matters into my own had a modifying a stock grill to look much the same as the mobsteel grill. What do you guys think? Does anyone see any for seeiable issues? My idea is to pick up stock grill remove cut out all the center bars do some fiber glass work gets some mesh a ta da my own custom grill. Any advice or input would be very useful. I do have one question at the moment, what's the best way to strip the chrome off?

There you go man....It appears we may be pretty close to seeing something in the flesh......
We're all convinced that MS is going full tilt to get this product out and to us ASAP.
If I were you I'd wait a tad longer unless you've got a hankerin' to do something with your hands -- In that case I also wish you luck with the fabrication.

Keep us up on what you decide and you can be sure you'll hear right here when the new grill makes its appearance.

Put it up to the front of my Brick and it sort of looks like a smile on a pig....:sun::thankyou:

Hhmmmm better ship it on over, along with the entire front end of the Brick, to Crash712us, maybe he can help you out there Bob trying to retro-fit accordingly.

Im Sure I could make fit with a lot of bondo and fiber glass.

Hey Everyone! I just got back from Vegas and have been trying to catch up on all the new threads, posts and exciting news regarding the 2013 SHO!
The most important thing is that I just received an email from Adam at Mobsteel saying:

"Grills are finally popped, painted and the mesh is done, I will be packaging up the grills and getting them out. took a little to get it rolling but they look nice.

I will have pam hit you up when they depart."

It looks like it should be shipping soon! :woo-hoo:

Problem is with being in Canada is that I probably will not get it before Darrel gets his ...... Just Kidding! :wave:

Hey Crash. Hit me up if Darrel doesn't want to sell his. My garage is JAMMED with old parts and my GF wants me to clear it out so I can't see myself keeping the OEM grille for long....

Got the email from Adam at Mobsteel today! My grille is complete and will be shipped on Monday after the Easter holiday this weekend! :woo-hoo:
He enclosed a picture of the grille for me to see and so far I'm happy and like the way it looks.
Now I just have to wait till it's in my hands.......

Actually, it's funny that you mention that Colin cause Adam said that he was using my grille as a "guinea pig" to figure out how best to package them cause he doesn't want them getting damaged in transport. I then received another email from Pam that said she was ordering some boxes that will fit the grilles properly and so that they will ship unharmed.
I'm really starting to like these Mobsteel folks!

There was a time that we thought otherwise.
I agree, Adam, Pam and the crew are decent folk and, so far, great to deal with.

I guess we're decent folk to deal with too aren't we.

Mine will be silver with stainless mesh. Should be picking them up tomorrow. The cars apart right now so they'll be installed when it goes back together
