Recently purchased a '92 SHO, and I'm starting to familiarize myself with everything. I noticed a vacuum Tee that had one port open to atmosphere. I was wondering if this is normal?

The Tee resides underneath the IAB valve. The other two connected lines go to, what I believe, are the actuators that switch between the two intake paths. You can see in the picture the port on the Tee isn't connected to anything. Thanks.

There is a round canister attached to the backside of the intake. The line that needs to connect to that tee is coming off that canister. Those are running to the secondary butterflys. With that line disconnected your secondaries are likely stuck open and hurting your low end torque.

Welcome, that engine looks pretty clean. Any pictures of the car? Be sure to join the local Northwest SHO group as there is an annual get together coming up

Get those secondaries hooked back up so you can really enjoy the car.

Could this also be a cause of a dropping idle when the engine is warm? I'll pull up to stop light with engine idle at around 900rpm. After a few seconds it'll drop down to 500 and jump back up again.

Any chance I can get a picture of the cannister the line should be running to? I'll grab some pictures of the car when I get home. All-in-all, pretty clean but needs work on a lot of little things.

Yeah. The tree in driveway makes every car that parks there its b*tch.

About a 130k. Previous owner did the front end, but didn't replace the crank seal. Have a leak there I'm going to have to live with for awhile. Don't know if he did the top of the engine and keep forgetting to pull some plugs to check.

Rear suspensions is completely shot. I have everything to replace; just need a free weekend. Lots of little things to fix; twitchy speedo, rattles here and there.

That's a pretty clean engine for 130K, must have been a car that was taken care of
