:( Well that sucks.. I will say tho... I like the fact that you're looking for the previous owner. If someone stole mine, I'd want it back busted window and all! I wonder if you can do a check on the vin maybe. I know in some states you can do that at the BMV. Crappy that no one from the insurance company or the police tried. Then again, to them its a 15 year old taurus.

well considering its a stolen / recoved vehical, im sure the previous owner knows it was recovered, so its not like anyone is STILL looking for this car.... especialy since he bought it at an INSURANCE auction

i would also have to assume that the previous owner had full coverage, which is why the ins company was able to sell it, they wrote a check to the owner and took the title ... basicly bought it off the customer for pre-theft value

the only CITY i know of so far that actions recovered vehicals is NYC, they have this odd habit of not giving recovered vehicals back to the INS company or the owner ... instead they tend to impound it and sell it themselves .... and then sometimes the buyer winds up in jail for possesing stolen property

stolen property you bought from the cops !

Dude thats the best thing to do.Even though you bought the car and now own it-i guess the person before would like to know if the vechicle was ever recovered. That thing looks in great shape even though it was broken into.Try posting the vin to see if anyone picks up on it.

it looks to be in great shape and well taken care of. It's a shame it will be in parts soon. I was just hoping to get some background on it as far as maintenance it had. I think it was from the flint/Detroit area.

That looks just like my brothers 95ATX. He sold it to his neighbor who gave it to his daughter who trashed it and got it stolt.
