Hey guys, my misfire problem has been taken to a whole new level, and I am curious what you all think. I was having an issue with my car missing out just before shifting into second gear under hard acceleration, then last week it just "went completely away," but boy is it back with a vengeance. Now when I accelerate hard, it misses out several times and well before making it to first gear. And also continues after shifting to second. Cruise down the road, it is smooth as silk, but try to pass and it seems like it coughing haha. I ordered some new plugs, but I only have about 17k on the last set, so probably not that, but the cheapest try. Any ideas?

Oh yeah I get no DTCs at all, so a little tough to diagnose.

How many miles on the car and what year? I'm thinking either fuel pump or a COP may be going bad. Does the same thing happen at highway speeds when you go WOT?

Had the day off so was going to take the tech on a test drive today, and wouldn't you know the problem is completely gone again. I am sure it will be back, but it's kind of frustrating it's working fine on my day off:(

Go on a test drive with them. Have the tech come with you. You drive the car.

They will either be able to watch power ballance with the I.D.S. (ford scan tool) or cylinder acceleration PIDs to see what's up.

Injectors (sticking/leaking) are also a known issue in these engines. I do hope it is not that.

If it is, I would assume they would be under warranty, IDC what it is I just want it fixed before the warranty runs out

Okay, so the misfire came back, but I was having a sync issue with sync crashing the Bluetooth on my phone, and the suggestion to fix that was to disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, I did this and yes it fixed my sync issue and the car has never run better. Is it possible that disconnecting my battery fixed my mifire issue?

When you did conector the batter you clear keep alive memory. Even though the car is off, it beverage really is off as some modules pull a slight draw to keep certain learned parameters stored

It started misfiring again a couple days later. I do have a few DTCs it has thrown, I know what a couple are but the rest in not sure.

I am sure some of them are from running a stock tune with having downpipes. And I'm thinking another couple are what are causing my phone to crash the Bluetooth. I just don't want to go in and have them tell me the misfire is because I have downpipes, when most here have downpipes with no issues. I would like to know if there are any I can tell them about that may be causing an issue.
