Hi guys,

is there anything out there to properly clean our seats (for us with the suede inserts?) What are you guys using? I've been to several auto part shops and every single off-the-shelf products says "NOT INTENDED FOR USE ON SUEDE".
:-(

Back when I used to allow the kids in the car with food (no more) I have used a CLEAN drafting eraser to remove dried ice cream. I have also heard people using white vinegar on stains. Just remember, after cleaning with a wet product, allow to fully dry and use a clean soft brissle brush to re-fluff the suede.

After cleaning I have treated the suede with a waterproofing spray I got from a leather store made for suede. It works pretty good.

Good luck:wave:

That's the direction I was heading, I would go to a local shoe store and see what they have for cleaning suede and ask what they recommend. I'm willing to bet they can help guide you to a product that will work. Let us know how you make out. Good luck.

I would just use a little soap and warm water on a rag and wipe it down. Should I ask what you need to clean up lol?

I've not had any issues with the suede.
I did have the kids jump in the car with sunscreen. That was a bear to get off the black leather, but, oddly enough, just brushed off the suede with a dry towel.

FYI, Miko suede is a synthetic fiber upholstery (cloth). Clean it with a damp towel, or for stains use carpet shampoo. The fabric is actually made from recycled plastic bottles. But the good news is, it will last a lot longer than real suede.

I use the extra thick baby wipes that won't tear then go over it again with a damp towel.

I bought suede leather shoe cleaner in a spray can for my Jeep Overland seats. Cleans and protects. For cleaning and protecting the interior, the best product to use is Lexol. I used Maguires interior spay and threw it in the trash, as it does not clean, smells bad and does not last, no comparison to Lexol. Same with cleaner / wax, Maguires and Mothers are over rated, Lexol is the best Ive used.
