Ok what do I need to look out for.

Looking at 2014 2015 and 2016 models.

Are there issues I should look for.

Are there any options I should try to get.

Right now I have found a used 2014 with 16,000 miles for 29000.

A brand new 2015 for 37,000 after incentives.

And a brand new 2016 for 41,000 after incentives.

What you guys think?

Of the three each has its own merits.

2014: Used so a lot of the depreciation is taken care of. Low Mileage but same as the 2016 base SHO.

2015: A rare model in that still unsold. So far leading candidate. 2015 made 20" wheels standard the "Flower Petal" design was standard and the 10 spoke split machined/ebony was an option.

2016: SYNC Gen 3 is a improvement over the previous SYNC with MFT but based on the window sticker that's about it. Rare model in a 400A. This is a true base SHO. To be fair even a 400A package (Base) is pretty decently equipped but most have at least the 401A Package (BLIS/HD Radio/SONY) etc.... The only major difference for the 2016 models were the SYNC Gen3 and some changes to the color line up. Example Tuxedo Black on 2014/15 is now "Shadow Black" for 2016. Probably not a major difference in pigments to the ***** eye but changing the name. No major design changes jus the SYNC Gen 3.

Personally I would go with the 2015 if you haven't used SYNC or MFT before you probably wouldn't notice the difference but if you tried the SYNC Gen3 you will not want to go back. SYNC MFT has some quirks but most of them are fairly easy to work around if you know how the system works. The 15 has the best option list and the 10K discount is nothing to sneeze at. Build date of October so not very old.

If you could find a 2014 like the one listed with close to identical options but with the 2015 option package list consider that. Outside of that I would go with the 2015 just overall a better equipped model and the options you get are good practical ones.

UPDATE: That same dealer for the 2015 has another Tuxedo Black SHO that is older than the one you are looking at. The only difference is the early build one doesn't have NAV or Multi Contour Seats. Being a earlier build and slightly less options I would as them if it was still available and get aggressive on pricing you might wind up with the same 2015 cheaper. The early build model also has the Drivers Assist Package with Adaptive Cruise, Lane Departure and Active Park Assist. The 401A package has some nice comfort features but the highlight of that package safety wise is the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Assist. Ultrasonic sensors indicate traffic alerts, for BLIS.....a amber caution light will show in the mirrors when a vehicle is in the Blind Spot for each side. Cross Traffic works for example a parking spot at the mall....surrounded by a pickup or van on each side. As you slowly back out the sensors will look for traffic and give you a alert in the vehicle page of the Drivers Instrument Cluster and indicate traffic coming from left or right. It wont stop them but it could alert you to stop and prevent backing out until the traffic conflict clears. The other parts of the 401A package are comfort but also functional. Heated/Air Conditioned Front seats and heated rear seats/Heated Steering wheel and HD Radio are good options. My guess is if you are looking at Seattle area dealers you won't be a stranger to cold and the heated seats and steering wheel will see some decent use. Even in Dallas this winter I definitely got my moneys worth out of the heated seats/wheel leaving work at 0700 after low overnight temps.

Summary the 2015 has the best options that are practical and safety related. If you can work a better deal on the earlier build 2015 try it is still available.

Missed it on initial scan but What do you do for USN? I am a NAVET (88-92) NAS Lemoore, CA but was on the Lincoln when it was home ported in Alame, but two of my air wing squadrons were at Whidbey Island. Thanks for your service!!

Looking over the VIN sheet for the 2015 Without the Driver Assist Package production sequence number 199810.

There is another person on this forum with 199811. I will let him identify when he checks in but what are the chances of two back to back numbers and both shipped to PACNW dealers. This is wild!!

I still say try to move some more off the early build model possibly get it down to the 199810 price your justification would be that even with the $1995 DAP addition it is an earlier build model and they probably want to move the earlier models first.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I do, in fact, have 811. Platinum white, pp. 810 looks to me like the best value, unless you must have SYNC 3. Besides, we need to keep the bretheren close to one another.

Let me know if you get 810. I am in Portland, we can meet somewhere for a photo shoot.
