Im a big fan of BBS style mesh wheels and was wondering if there were any that would fit a SHO with no spacers or modifications. Im aware the first gens came with "mesh" wheels but they aren't really what im looking for. Ive found that Volvo 780 Bertone mesh wheels have the proper 5x108 bolt pattern, but they have a RWD offset so they're probably too wide. The only other wheels I've found that would fit were from a Lincoln but were 14x6, or something similar; too small to look good on a Taurus. So please tell me theres some car out there Ive missed that has classic style mesh wheels that I can find at a junk yard or something.

I like the look of the Lincoln mark viii "snowflakes" as they're called. they look way better than the baskeweavers the 1st gen's came with in my own mind. you can pick a pair of for fairly cheap off LVC.

Heres a picture of them. i dont think i have any of what they looked like on my car back when i had them on a bit. http://i37.tinypic.com/2guiqz6.jpg

When I was at the T-Bird Super Coupe Shootout in Ohio last month, a guy there was trying to sell a nice set of gold mesh 16x7" BBS wheels. They were off an 89-97 T-Bird, which are also 5 on 108 pattern, but they may be a few mm too negative on the offset for a Taurus. Doesn't say what the offset is in his ad.

He is in Dayton Ohio, and was hoping to sell them with the 225/60R16 Goodyears on them. If you are interested, send me ap.m., I can pass along his contact info.

cheers

There were some gold BBS wheels on CL somewhere near me yesterday, but I can't seem to find the ad now. I forget if they were 16s or 17s, but they were 5x108. I'll see if I can dig it up later.
