I also tapped at the injectors and it ran awkward everytime I tapped them from the top while running it actually got better once for about 5min, but at the same it had the pop which it never did last year when I lost 2 and 5 injectors.
It sounds like you nailed your problem right there. BTW, when replacing fuel injectors, they should always be replaced as a set, never one or a few at a time. Also, your mufflers shouldn't "gurgle". Could be a clogged exhaust system there. So maybe a set of reconditioned injectors, run the decarbon procedure, put in new plugs (again). Maybe you got a really crap tank of gas in there. Maybe you got crap in your gas tank that keeps taking your injectors out! Can always get the tank cleaned and the fuel filter changed.

It sounds like the timings off. Either the timing belt slipped or you are having the dreaded crank cancer (the timing belt drive gear on the crank has slipped). Time for a 60k to see what is going on...

BTW, most mechanics are very limited in their ability to troubleshoot newer controlled motors. (No distributor) I would seek out your closest SHO mechanic if you can't do it yourself.

Ok I went to the mechanic today and he checked the timing, all the marks on the crank etc and they were all good on spec.

Tommorrow he will run a compression check, he thinks it could be a bent valve. Now I am under the impression that the SHO engine is a non-interfrence engine with stock camshafts, so how else could a valve have bent?

This sorta sounds like my problem I had with my new SHO last weekend. I had spark and fuel, and still a no start. When it did run, it ran like pure crap. It turned out to be a couple wires in the wiring harness. Read my post about the update on no codes and no start. Maybe that could be a cause.

Yep mine too just ran like crap, now it wont even start even tho you can hear a slight gurgling when the RPM's jump to around 200-300 RPM.

Check your post I ask if you could explain exactly what wire it could be and how to check it so I can give it to my mechanic who isnt too SHO knowledgable.

"Then suddenly when I am about to go on the road and i am releaseing the clutch my idle goes hay-wire sounds real lumpy close to stalling and I have basically drop the clutch above 2K just to get it to move and lower the RPM w/o it shuting off."
"While in the process of all of this I replaced the spark plugs the 3month old ones were solid black, and i could see mild carbon build up in the cylinder walls under the manifold but I was afraid to decarbonize it considering the conditions its was running in."

I think we just had the same problem with a 91 plus, idle was 800rpm wouldn't rev above 3k
I changed everything, plugs wires etc, then did the cam position sensor...same problem. finally changed the dis and that was it.
try a known good dis.

Hope this helps

I have tried 2 different DIS one from a spare SHO engine and another from a running 92 SHO.
