My tuner wants $120 for a Cx2231 sensor. Rock Auto will a CX2594 which cross references it for $81. Are these the same or should I just pay more? If it's better I have no issue paying more.

CX2231 is the original part number I believe, superseded to CX2594. They may be slightly different in design or manufacture location but either should work.
