Hey All:

I got about 15K on my clutch, new stock Valeo and PP from SHONut. Since I installed it the friction point has always been near the end of release, not at the halfway point of travel. It never really bothered me until now. It sometime acts as if its not released fully, so I get what feels like a slipping clutch under hard driving. I've played around with the adjustment. Pulled up on the pedal, got some clicks but nothing changed. I tried holding the pedal up to release the tension, released the quadrant, checked the arm lever and retensioned, same problem.

What I'm thinking to do next it release the tension and push on the arm lever to tighten up the cable. Then try it like that. Ran a search, others seem to have had the same problem but I didn't see any fixes. Btw the clutch cable is also new....

If the quadrant is pulling the cable taught you're not going to get it any better than that.

FWIW, my SHO is on the third clutch since new and it's always engaged near the top. That seems to be pretty normal in my experience.

Hmmm, well I do have some play at the arm, I'm guessing its supposed to have some. If I tightened it up I would be left with none at all. But the friction point would be higher.

My Spec Stage 3 is the same way and I don't like it. I wish it engaged in the middle instead of when the pedal is almost all the way out. It grabs fine and there is no slipping, but it feels funny to just barely push in the clutch and have it disengage. I have messed with the adjuster and nothing changes. Anybody figure this out, let me know.
