major problem, no sound

i have an Aiwa cd player and a kenwood amp and some polk subs, every wire is hooked up correctly, every fuse is good, the subs just stoped working and i unhooked al my normal speakers and re wired them and all i get is a whisper of sound when i turn it all the way up, any ideas? think my cd player might be bad, thanks for the help

hmmmmmmmm.... is the impedence correct through everything??? cause if it's not that could be an issue. maybe the amp isn't amplifying the signal???? or maybe something is wrong with the subs themselves, i don't recognize polk so maybe they're pooched.
