Major Engine Problem...HELP!

I was playing around on the Freeway...and the next thing I know after some time of just cruising home...I have a wierd Idle that fluctuates about 5-100rpms either way from about 800 rpms...and When I give it gas in any gear...high-or low in the powerband..the motor Flutters...with a loss of power..as if its missing, or backfiring inside somwhere..... :squint: When It idles I can hear some wierd type of tapping noise near the Y-pipe...motor moves around a little bit...when giving it some throtlle in neutral..the motor has doest rev smoothly...theres a slight flutter in it...and in certain gears the car slightly jerks..if im in 3rd gear and not going fast, and I try to accelerate...as I said...it flutters...really badly..as if its missing or something...

Im going to look around tommarow..but wow..what could it be? maybe a fouled plug? Someone said it might be a bent valve....but I hope not... :cry:

Yeah, its raining today, but hopefully Tommarow Ill run some codes, and do the engine test..then from there check my plugs..and wires..

as for wires, can they all of a sudden go bad? or get weak? Im hoping its a spark plug....might be worse... :cry:

*UPDATE*

Slighty warmed up the car..and it seemed fine, no hesitation in the throttle or nothing...

Its stopped raining, so I went outside, and ran some 'run' position codes while it was cold...

I got 21, which is fine since its cold...and 52..which is okay.

In stored memory..

there was code 33(even after I put the Vacumm soleniod on :squint: )

and CODE: 66.....What could cuase this? It makes sense..cuase I know it runs crappy without a MAF on...but idles okay...same thing with my stang...without a MAF..it ran like Crap...but why would I loose power like this? and Today, it runs FINE...I mean Almost %99.9 PERFECT!?!!?

Okay HELP....I drove it into town and Ran fine :oogle: , but on the way home..it ran crappy...like something is wrong with the motor of MAF...WTF :oogle:

Run your codes again, and test your wires if possible. Do you have a multimeter to test them with?

Just out of curiosity, do you have a cone filter?

I have a K&N Panel Filter...I got rid of the Cone & chip a month ago...and the idle troubles went with it..

*UPDATE*

Woke up, Playted some NSFU: 2, and then went work onthe SHO..

First thing I did was warm it up..was fine again.. :oogle: , then I drove it around, and the problem came back :frown: , so I jacked it up, and turned it on..listening to the exhuast...I could see the exhuast comming out smoothly...then when it "missed" during idle the exhuast fumes putted out of the mufflers...so...I tinkered the with 02 Sensors to find the front one was very loose :doh: , Tightened it...but it didnt fix the probelm....SO...I tore down the Intake, and put some Di-Electric Grease on the back on the DIS Module...then went to look at the motor..and noticed the Middle back plug wire was popped out...WTF? I was thinking Either I did that when I too off the intake, or that was the problem..I check every spark plug...there looked fine(white dust)...no oil in the Wells(YAY!)...umm..Sprayed Carb Cleaner down the Lower Intake...and Put everything back on..A few cranks later it turned over...run rough cuase of the cleaner..then...Idled fine..I was kind of suspecious..LUCKILY enough I believe it was the Plug Wire that Popped up..Wooo00T...Nothing MAJOR(Dont wanna jinks it though)...sooo...Tommarow Ill take it on a long test drive and pray for the best..

Cliff Notes: I Believe the problem was one of the Plug wires come off the Plug...Its fixed, and the car runs ALOT Better..THANKS GUYS/Gals! :thumb:
