Hello All,
Bill Mincher from Hannibal Missouri here
Finally broke down and got a "new" 2017 sho....
Found one left over at a dealer with only 250 miles on it :)
Had her for a couple weeks now, got her all cleaned up Ceramic Coated. Painted the Calipers and got the windows tinted....
Oh and got the tuner ordered and on its way :)
Pictures don,t do justice on the reflection of the paint!
But OMG it was ALOT of work.. Wash, Clay-bar,buff,alcohol wipe, apply ceramic coat ,wipe down buff, 13 hrs later one BEAUTIFUL SHO!

Looks amazing nice job.

If you don’t mind me asking, what did you pay for one that’s brand new but two years old?

Nice job. I did a full paint correction on mine and ceramic coated it as well. It is quite an undertaking. You car looks great. Here is a picture of mine.

You truly don't know how big these cars are until you do something like this. lol.

Or if you park it next to a 1st gen.

Of course it wont let me load a pic of my 1st gen next to my gf's 5th gen. Why would I wanna do that? Stupid website...

30,000 New is like 45,000 2018 was like 38,000, so I didn't think I got too bad of a deal..

Beautiful car. I always liked magnetic. Wow. I think you win the forum smoking deal contest. I tried to buy 2 model year old leftovers when we bought the wife’s Flex. The dealers never seemed to want to move them. We just ended up buying brand new current model year because we got a better deal than any of the leftovers we looked at.

You want to come do the ceramic on mine? Lol. So far I’m just too lazy to do it. It looks like such a PITA.

Yeah, and I have to buff and color correct mine first before I do ceramic since it’s not brand new. I watched a video of somebody doing it online. It’s no wonder they charge over a grand to ceramic coat at a detailer.

Long term investment :) The coating takes the hit instead of the paint, is the idea. Nowadays you can get coatings that have 7 year lifespans, pretty darned impressive. And you can even use regular wax on top for further protection if you like.

There’s a lot of ceramic polish sealers on the market, like Top Coat F11 or Produxa that work very well, and are very easy to apply. I’m not sold on the other “ceramic” coating process.
