Found a good deal (too good?) On some interceptor wheels. They are specified as 5x4.5" lug pattern. Is this correct? Also, tire rack's website is telling me 17" wheels will fit. True?

I have an '11 non pp.

Looking to do a winter wheel/tire setup. And 17 or 18" snow tires will be MUCH cheaper than 20" for the big flowers.

I am pretty sure that 17's will not clear the brakes on the SHO. Might fit a lower tier Taurus. I just put on a set of 18x8, with 225-60R18 Firestone Winterforce. I'll be happy when I get to put the 20's back on in spring, the car looks so 'common' with the smaller rim and extra sidewall. There's several threads on board here discussing winter tire/wheel options, and I went with what I did, because the overall dia of my winter tire is only 1/10" different than the 245-45R20 Michelin. There are a couple other sizes that have been used, but this felt like the best solution IMO.

I'll say that the Michelins looked tobe about half-worn out, and I've just turned 20K on the odometer, and have rotated every 5k since new.

17 inch wheels will work on a 2010-2012. I had a set when I owned my 2010 and the fit good. With the upgraded brakes and larger rotors on the 2013+, the minimum size is 18". I have a set of Interceptor wheels with Blizzaks on my 2013 right now.

I love the look of the police wheels with the caps, but damn ford wants like 250 or 260 a piece?
Man

But as a set of winter tires, what a great idea.

I got mine from a salvage yard, including TPMS sensors, for about 1/2 the price you can get the wheel/TPMS combo from Ford. I also ended up paying $25 apiece for the caps.

Is there any 20-inch steel interceptor-style wheel with a dog-dish cap that will fit a 2015 SHO? These wheels are too flashy for the city, but I want to keep the low-pro tires.
