When the car is lowered, doesn't this have a negative effect on the half-shaft angle - aren't they supposed to operate near horizontal? Do lowered cars have less CV joint life or more noise, or is it acceptable to run them at angles??

I'd like to know as I will probably make a tube frame and will need to know how low I can safely go without causing half-shaft problems. I can position the struts anywhere so the alignment problem isn't an issue for me.

Just wondering...

Yes, it does adversely affect the life of the CV joints and half-shafts. To what extent exactly I really couldn't tell you, but it isn't something of HUGE concern. Some apps need to have camber kits installed to correct the negative camber that the lowering springs bring about.

If you want to lower your SHO, and eibachs don't do the trick but the IPT coil-overs are too much money, I'd recommend Intrax springs. The Intrax is a good spring, and it sits LOW. I think you would be pleased.

Father used to have an SHO with plates that rear "SHO T1ME" -- so I dunno what to tell yah! It wont get confusing, you have a sig... I on the other hand, do not. It wont be so bad trust me thumbs_u

...and if it does get bad, ill play yah at a game of rock/paper/scissors to see who keeps it -- lol! :p

IMHO I say 3" max b/c my SHO is at 2.5" upfront and I havent had problems with the axles(or alignment probelms w/o a camber kit) yet after 2yrs of sitting as low as it does, so if it does affect the life of the axles it isnt by much.

SHO T1ME I got your email, you've got mail thumbs_u .
